A Spook-tacular Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Special thanks to the AIS PTA for making our campus so festive and joyful. The children (and grownups!) are grateful. We are also proud that dressing up this week has helped us raise funds for Community Chest on our Charitable Free Dress Days. Helping others in our community is an important way to model our Core Value of Love and do our part to provide students with opportunities to demonstrate our commitment to equity and social justice. We love giving back and making a difference.

"The parade of costumes and free dress entering Gate 123 last Thursday and Friday was brilliantly delightful! Early Childhood students experienced a parade with treats and students and faculty across the division admired one another’s costumes. The traditions of Jack-O-Lantern carving, PTA Fall Fun decor, and spooky stories added such positive energy to the campus and season."
- Ms. Cami Okubo, ES Principal
"Halloween was a wonderful celebration of creativity and community. Students and faculty came to school in a variety of fun costumes or appropriate free dress. We raised a substantial amount of funds to donate to Community Chest Hong Kong and had fun in doing so. We also had lunchtime Halloween bingo, a spooky story writing contest, door decorating competitions, recess games, and costume prizes. We are grateful for your support at home to help make this a memorable day at school."
- Mr. Zachary Post, MS Principal
"It was fabulous to see all the costumes on campus this week as students across the school dressed up for Halloween. High School gathered on Zoom for our Student Council-led Halloween Assembly. It was wonderful to see all the virtual backgrounds everyone had made for the occasion, and I would like to give another ‘shout out’ to the student council and their adviser, Mr. Kang, for their planning and creativity to keep us all engaged throughout: well done! Special thanks goes out to Mr. D. for his dramatic reading of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven”."
