AIS Eagles Season 2 Sports Round Up
Our Season 2 sports teams have come a long way and certainly should be very proud of themselves for competing against many difficult teams. Our AIS Eagles have certainly made tremendous improvements from the beginning to the very end of Season 2.
First up, our U14 Girls Basketball π had only one defeat all season meaning they went straight to their play-offs, where they were able to beat CAIS in the final after being down by a point in the last 2 minutes. Despite this, they were able to stay resilient and claw their way back to score 4 points and win the playoffs Championships π for the first time ever! Congratulations to the U14 girls and well done to coach Phong on bringing in the gold for the girls, π₯and for giving them great encouragement in every game!

Next up, our U14 Boys Basketball π bounced back from their first game and were able to win three games consecutively against CAIS, ASHK and MCHK. Unfortunately, the boys were unable to make the playoffs but had really learned to play as a team and really developed good fighting energy to compete hard. Well done for really putting a good display out there, U14 boys!

Our U16 Boys Basketball π team were able to compete well beating MCHK, ASHK and KCCIS, but just fell short of making the playoffs at the end losing to YMCA by 5 points. Nevertheless, a really good display by the U16 boys. Well done lads!

Our U20 Girls Basketball π team displayed some encouraging performances against many challenging and tough opponents and were able to improve significantly from the start of the season to the very last game through better communication and teamwork. For many of them, it was a very good learning opportunity to continue playing basketball for fun or for some competition outside of school. Well done ladies!

The U20 Boys Basketball π team fought hard and had some outstanding performance, beating SIS and YMCA to get them to the playoffs. However, the boys fell short on their playoff game against VSA. Nevertheless, the boys should be proud of their own performance as they have made some fantastic progress from start to finish. Well done boys!

Finally, the Junior & Senior Cross Country π team had competed in several mini meets in Ma On Shan and Kowloon Tsai Park and was a very good opportunity for many to challenge themselves. They had their final meet against 880 other runners in Tai Lam Country Park and for many were happy as they were able to beat their personal bests records. Well done runners!Β

Once again, congratulations to all of our student athletes competing in our Season 2 sports teams! And many thanks to our amazing coaches who’ve taught and supported our students throughout an impressive season!
