On Saturday, May 9, the AIS TECHsperts and Mr. Green, alongside Dr. B, hosted the first public weekend workshop at American International School, titled the “Little Innovators Lab,” as part of a community outreach initiative designed to inspire younger learners to explore digital creativity through innovative tools and hands-on experiences. The TECHsperts facilitated four engaging workshops: block coding with KIBO robots, color coding with EvoBots, gamified coding with Osmo, and 2D digital art using Procreate.
A total of 48 TECHsperts supported the event, which welcomed 40 families from across Kowloon, including several AIS families. Through a highly personalized, one-to-one support model, each learner was guided individually by student leaders, creating a meaningful and memorable learning experience for all involved.
Overall, the Little Innovators Lab served as an exciting opportunity to extend AIS outreach beyond our red bricks while also giving families a firsthand look at the innovative approaches and advanced tools AIS uses to foster creative confidence, computational thinking, and digital literacy in our youngest learners.
