At the American International School, we are dedicated to nurturing the unique spark within every student. Today, we celebrate our Grade 2 Eagle Hou Yuyi (Hyman), whose artistic journey has moved from the classroom to the world’s most famous museum—all while earning the admiration of one of China’s leading art authorities.
Hyman reached a spectacular peak in France. His painting, titled “Future World”, was selected for the “WE ARE THE WORLD” 2024 International Art Exhibition.
This prestigious event, held at Le Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, is proudly endorsed by UNESCO. Hyman’s work was part of an elite international tour that received high praise from UNESCO officials and the global public. Seeing his name and the AIS spirit represented in the heart of Paris is a moment of immense pride for our community.

Before his success in Paris, Hyman proved his skill closer to home as the Champion of the 2024 Hong Kong Junior Arts Awards.
Hyman’s parents trace this incredible trajectory back to 2022. Even as a toddler, Hyman showed an uncanny ability to focus for hours on his drawings. Recognizing that his passion for art outweighed his interest in sports or reading, his family sought a school environment that would protect and project his creative voice.
