Our Eagles truly live our AIS core values by supporting each other and working hard as a team.

The U14 Boys’ Basketball team had a very successful and exciting season, reaching the playoff finals thanks to their consistent hard work and teamwork. They performed strongly throughout the year, earning their spot in the final against KCCIS. We led in the first half with great energy, but a few turnovers allowed KCCIS to fight back and tie the score. In the end, we fell short by just 2 points, but the boys showed real heart and resilience right until the buzzer. We’re really happy with how far they came this season, and the lessons from that tight final will help us improve even more—we’re proud of them and confident they’ll come back stronger to chase the title next year!

This season presented both challenges and great progress for our U14 Girls’ Basketball team, as we welcomed many new players and focused on building a unified squad. We placed strong emphasis on developing core skills such as ball control, passing, defensive positioning, and game decision-making, and the girls showed clear improvement in confidence and technique throughout the year. Although results were sometimes tough against more experienced sides. This season has created a solid foundation of talent and togetherness, and I’m excited to watch this group continue to grow and succeed next year.

The U16 Boys’ Basketball team had a strong and rewarding season, successfully qualifying for the playoffs and reaching the semi-finals — a great accomplishment that shows their hard work and progress. We put up a tough fight but fell short against YCIS in the semi-final, and then lost the bronze medal match by just 3 points in a close, exciting game. These experiences highlighted key areas for growth, especially in defense, where we can work on better organization, positioning, and tackling to handle strong offenses more consistently. Reaching the playoffs this year was already a big step forward, and the boys showed real determination and team spirit throughout the season. We’re proud of how far they’ve come, and with continued focus and harder work, we’re confident they’ll push even further to reach the final next year!

The U20 Girls’ Basketball team had a season full of real improvement and personal growth. Every player showed great effort by coming to training every time, staying focused, and working hard to get better at skills, tactics, and fitness. We saw good progress in things like passing more accurately under pressure, playing better defense, and feeling more confident during games. The girls stayed strong in every match — they helped each other, learned from tough moments, and kept a positive team spirit that made everyone closer. This year built a strong base of character and hard work — we are very proud of them and excited for what comes next!

The U20 Boys’ Basketball team had a great season, winning most of their games and reaching the playoff final — a fantastic achievement that shows their talent and hard work. They built a strong regular-season record with solid wins, and adding talented players from the U16 group brought extra energy, depth, and better performance on the court. Making it to the final highlighted their excellent teamwork, skill growth, and strong determination all year long. In the championship game, we lost by just 8 points in a close and intense game, with the boys fighting hard for every point until the very end. With several Grade 12 players graduating this year, we’re proud of what they’ve accomplished and hopeful that the returning core will stay strong, build on this success, and win the final next season!

cross country

This year, 32 runners took part in the cross country championship, and most of them achieved personal best times. It is a great sign of their hard work and improvement! We welcomed many new runners from middle school, which brought fresh energy to the team and helped grow our group. We’re really happy to see more and more students joining cross country each year. One of our U16 girls – Yui Fujino did amazingly well, finishing in the top 10 in her age group — a huge highlight for everyone! We hope even more runners will join next year so we can keep building on this positive momentum.

Big thank you to all the coaches for your dedication and hard work this season. You created a positive team environment and taught everyone what good sportsmanship looks like at AIS. We really appreciate everything you do!
