What an honor it was to be part of the HSBC Premier International School event held on October 4, 2025! The event took place in the breathtaking International Commerce Centre (ICC) skyscraper in West Kowloon, the tallest building in Hong Kong. We gathered on the newly renovated 99th floor HSBC office, overlooking the stunning Victoria Harbour.
Despite Typhoon Signal 3 being hoisted, many families joined us for this special occasion, making it a truly remarkable day. The enthusiasm and engagement from attendees highlighted the strong interest in international education and the opportunities it provides.
Our school, the American International School (AIS), was among the esteemed international schools in Hong Kong selected to participate in this incredible event. Our High School Principal Mr. Andy Ris and our Middle School Principal Ms. Jennifer Bertram, along with our Admissions Office, connected with families interested in the international curriculum, particularly the American Common Core and Advanced Program that AIS has offered for over 40 years.
During the event, Mr. Ris was welcomed on stage and delivered a compelling introduction to AIS’s core values and curriculum. He discussed the significant impact of technology on educational changes and how AIS has adeptly adapted to these advancements.
One of the highlights of Mr. Ris’s presentation was the exciting announcement regarding our award-winning Techsperts program. We are proud to continue as an Apple Distinguished School for almost three years now. Mr. Ris also shared that AIS is the first international school in Hong Kong to offer a Swift Coding Club, along with various other technological initiatives. This commitment to integrating technology into our curriculum reflects our dedication to preparing students for the future.
Overall, the event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase AIS. We look forward to continuing these discussions within the community and to our prospective families.
