23 February Family and Students Update

Dear Parents and Students,

Middle School and High School Division Sports Day

As always, it has been a busy time with so many wonderful activities taking place in all divisions. I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible work of our Middle and High School PE teachers for organizing and executing a super Sport Day today! Special thanks to Ms. Jules Brosnan in her role as Head of Department and to Mr. Jacky Chan, our Athletic Director, and Mr. Anthony Lennan, Ms. Mollie McHugh, and Mr. Jose Duran De Sande. The successful coordination and planning of an event like today’s would not have been possible without the support of all the Middle and High School faculty. Thank you for making this day special for our students. We had perfect weather to boot! Furthermore, I would like to express our gratitude to our PTA for their generous provision of breakfast snacks for our faculty. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Lunar New Year Performances

Our AIS students performed wonderfully at their Lunar New Year assemblies on Thursday, 8th February. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Mandarin teachers: Ms. Angel Ka, Ms. Yingying Lavender Zhong, Ms. Christine Chen, Ms. Jessie Cheng, and Mr. Wai Mun Ho, for their hard work in preparing for these performances. Please click on the image below to watch the video.

Technology-supported assessment and feedback help us set goals that drive continuous school improvement.

The Standard International Schools Fair (ISF)

The Standard International Schools Fair (ISF) will be held on Saturday, 2nd March, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm at JW Marriott Hotel, Admiralty. AIS is one of the highlighted schools, and Dr. Aaron Baumgartner, our Assistant Elementary Principal, will be participating in the panel discussion. Families who may have friends who are interested in learning more about AIS are encouraged to let them know about the fair and encourage them to register HERE if they’d like to attend.

Rescheduled PTA General Meeting

The PTA general meeting has been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday, 29th February at 3:15pm in the conference room. During the meeting, I will provide an important update regarding the upcoming visit by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), which is scheduled from Monday, 26th February to Wednesday, 28th February. We look forward to seeing you all at the meeting next Thursday!

My best,
