Dear Parents and Students,
I couldn’t be more proud to let you know that AIS has just been recognized as a Common Sense School, an honor that recognizes our collective efforts in teaching digital citizenship to young people. The recognition also acknowledges our school’s commitment to helping students build important skills that are essential for their well-being today—and tomorrow.
This honor is provided by Common Sense Education, part of a US national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of students and their families by providing trustworthy information, education, and the independent voice they need to thrive in an ever-changing world of media and technology.
I want to extend my genuine gratitude to our Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology Team (CIT) leaders, Ms. Kathy Abel, Director of Learning Innovation, Mr. Matt Wise, Director of Educational Technology, and Mr. Jeremy Green, Learning Activator for their role in making this distinction possible and of course our wonderful faculty for ensuring that our students are equipped with the skills they need to safely engage with the world online.
