26 January Family and Student Update

Dear Parents and Students,

The weather this week felt quite cold, and we saw everyone dressed in lots of layers and in their warmest clothes across the campus. As someone who grew up in a pretty cold country, I thought I’d be quite comfortable in the cooler weather, but my fingers, toes, and nose were just as chilled as everyone else’s!

Parent Teacher Conferences (PTCs)

On behalf of all faculty and the AIS Leadership Team, we’d like to sincerely thank each of our AIS families who attended our Parent Teacher Conferences (PTCs) yesterday, Thursday, 25th January and today, Friday, 26th January. The importance of staying connected and informed about your student’s learning and progress cannot be understated, and we are so grateful to all of you who were able to come and participate in this celebration of student learning and achievement.

I am especially proud of the role that students played in our conferences. Being here with your parents to share in the feedback and leading the conversations, as students did in Middle School, are so important to growing student Confidence, the key mindset of our Future Framework.

We understand that it isn’t always possible to attend for a variety of reasons, and we encourage those of you who couldn’t be here to reach out to your students’ teacher or teachers if you have any questions or would like to arrange a call or meeting. Open, regular communication is always the best approach to ensuring student success.

Apple Distinguished School (ADS) Recognition Ceremony & PTA Wine & Cheese

Please don’t forget to let us know if you’re able to join us at our upcoming Apple Distinguished School Recognition Ceremony and PTA Wine & Cheese on Monday, 5 February by completing this RSVP FORM by Monday, 29 January 2024. We’re so proud of all we’ve been able to accomplish with the support of our faculty, students, and parents, and we would love to have you join us as we recognize our collective achievement that day. It is a very special distinction that is worth celebrating!

The event will begin with a brief ceremony with an Apple representative at 3:15 pm in the 125 Hall, followed by pictures on the Green Oval and then a Wine & Cheese, sponsored by our PTA, until approximately 6:30 pm. If you require childcare services, please let us know, by using the form so that we can arrange for student supervision.

We truly hope to see you there!
