08.12 Family & Student Update

Dear Parents and Students,

It has been a wonderful first two days back with our students! Thank you for all you are doing to ensure that students are ready for school with their Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) and more. The weather has been as wet as can be, but that hasn’t dampened our spirits!! It has been such a joy to see the smiles and hear the squeals of delight when students who haven’t seen each other in a while meet again. Thanks to Mr. Baumgartner, our Elementary School Assistant Principal, “E the Eagle” was out and ready to greet students on our first day. He was a big hit – even with parents!!

Student Vaccination

Just a friendly reminder to please upload any new student vaccination records HERE to ensure that your child is eligible to participate in all permitted school activities, as outlined by the EDB, including Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) and swimming. To be considered eligible, students require two shots plus 14 days to participate.

Traffic on Waterloo Road

My sincere thanks to the parents and families who are taking such good care to quickly drop students off in front of the school. Please continue to ensure that you and your student(s) are ready to exit the vehicle without delay when you arrive. It is critical that we avoid a situation where the Traffic Department changes the designation in front of Gate 123 to a no-stopping area. As mentioned last week, drop offs can be arranged on surrounding streets. Please also consider enrolling your child in school bus services as well. Please visit California Coach or complete this School Bus Service Application to sign-up. Let’s continue to work together to keep Waterloo Road free from congestion and safe for our students and families!

New Faculty

Our New Faculty photos are now ready and I am delighted to share them with you today. Photos of our full faculty and staff at AIS can be found on our school website.
