12.17 Family & Student Update

Dear Parents, Students, Faculty, Families and Staff,

Gratitude

My sincere thanks to everyone who joined us for our Virtual Winter Fair on Friday, 10 December. The feedback we’ve received has been absolutely wonderful. We appreciate hearing from so many of you about your experience. It was such a treat to watch our students perform so beautifully, and seeing the contents of the time capsule was another highlight of the evening.

Our sincere thanks goes out to our parent community once again for giving so selflessly to ensure that our students are able to continue to enjoy special enrichment opportunities through the fundraising work of our PTA Executive Committee. We wish to formally thank our Executive Team Ms. Sue Ranjan & Lydia Kim, Co-Presidents; Ms. Tanvi Bhushan & Grace Chen, Co-Vice-Presidents; Mr. Billy Qian, Treasurer; and Ms. Fiona Chu & Ms. Gloria Chau, our Co-Sourcing Executives.

Special thanks as well for the incredible videos made by our talented faculty – Mr. Levent Erdogan, Ms. Charmian Liang, and Mr. Josefino Rivera. We are truly grateful to them for making our students shine. We also owe a wealth of gratitude to Ms. Sarah Lee, Ms. Janine Waines, and Mr. Rob Kilvington-Shaw our outstanding music teachers for their brilliant work with our students! One final shoutout to Ms. Sarah Allen for her leadership as PTA Secretary and Ms. Vicky Lam, our Director of Admissions and Advancement for making all of the hard work look effortless!

You may be interested in knowing that over 450 viewers watched the show last week, and the video was viewed 2,023 times over the weekend! All of the videos are now posted on the Eagle-i blog of the school website, along with the beautiful art from the posters and raffle tickets, and more. If you missed the Winter Fair, you will definitely want to take a look at this video!

Finally, it’s clear from your feedback that Mr. Post wins the award for the most popular Winter Fair suit this year, and we thank him for keeping things so snazzy!

Here are just a few of the comments we received:

Time Capsule

For those who missed the video of the Time Capsule reveal and our celebration of AIS’s 35th anniversary during Friday’s Winter Fair, you might enjoy viewing the video we created. You may also appreciate seeing the footage from AIS’s 25th anniversary as well. Be sure to keep your eye out for an Eagle-i blog post scheduled to be published on 30 December, 2021, where details of the event will be featured!

Happy Holidays

On behalf of the AIS Leadership Team, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

May 2022 bring peace, prosperity, and good health to you and yours.

My best,

Anita Simpson
