A Legacy of Giving
Dr. Thomas Liang (1925-2009)
Founder, American International School
Dr. Liang believed that with privilege came responsibility. Throughout his own life, he was a very generous benefactor to a number of local and international charities. His donations were always made without fanfare, and given directly to those in greatest need. As a man deeply committed to education, he believed AIS had a duty to give back to the community. Today, students, teachers and families across the school are regularly involved in support work for charitable organizations and projects. Our students learn from an early age the importance of giving to others less fortunate than themselves. This is a core component to both the taught curriculum and our co-curricular programs. The Silver Eagle Education Foundation will place this legacy of giving at the heart of its operations.
