Pelle Samuelsson

Pelle Samuelsson (Grade 12) is an excellent athlete with a fantastic work ethic. Pelle has an extremely competitive nature and always gives his best effort. His leadership skills are outstanding and he was an outstanding captain of the track and field team. Words like effort, determination, fortitude, consistency and dedication describe Pelle’s commitment to sports. Pelle was on the volleyball team that won the ISSFHK Championship. Pelle won a bronze medal in the shot put, silver medals in the 400 meters and 4x100 meters, and a gold medal in the 4x400 meters at the ISSFHK Track and Field Championships. AIS is proud to have Pelle Samuelsson as its Male High School Athlete of the Year.

Angel Chang

Angel Chang (Grade 12) is a fantastic athlete with a great attitude. Her commitment to excellence is second to none. Angel has represented AIS in sports for many years and is a former middle school athlete of the year. Angel is a competitive, tough, determined athlete who never gives up. Her leadership skills are fantastic and she has captained many teams including track and field and basketball this year. Angel was on both the volleyball and basketball teams this year. Angel won a bronze medal in the 4x400 meters, silver medals in the 4x100 meters and the 400 meters at the ISSFHK Track and Field Championships. AIS is extremely happy to have such an outstanding individual be chosen as High School Female Athlete of the Year.  

    
Bonnie Chan

Bonnie Chan (Grade 7) is an outstanding all round athlete. Bonnie is a great competitor and played on the volleyball, basketball, soccer and badminton teams this year. Bonnie won the most valuable badminton player for the school. What makes her performances even more impressive is that Bonnie is only in grade 7 and is in her first year of U14 eligibility. Great things can be expected of Bonnie in grade 8 as she is an extremely hard working and competitive athlete who always gives her best effort. Congratulations to Bonnie as being chosen the Middle School Female Athlete of the Year.

    
Felix Kei

Felix Kei (Grade 8) is an outstanding all round athlete. He was a member of the undefeated boys’ basketball team that won the ISSFHK championships. Felix won the Most Valuable Player for basketball, badminton and track and field. Felix is an all round athlete and able to play many sports at a very high level. In track and field he won the gold medal in the long jump, tied for 3rd in the high jump, came second in the 800m, and won a bronze medal in the 4x400 meter relay by running an extremely impressive anchor leg. Felix is a competitive, determined athlete who tries his best at every sport he plays. AIS is very happy to have Felix Kei as the Middle School Athlete of the Year.
