| back | | New Middle School Principal Beginning August 2012 | | |  I am delighted to announce that Mrs. Pamela Smith has accepted our offer to join the school as the new Middle School Principal beginning 1 August 2012. Mrs. Smith has 18 years of middle school teaching experience, including 11 years of various leadership roles. Originally from the US, Mrs. Smith has also worked at the American School of Madrid (Spain), the American Community School at Beirut (Lebanon), the Carol Morgan School, Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), and for the past 5 years at the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) in Malaysia. Mrs. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Math Education, a Masters of Education in Curriculum and a Certificate of Educational Leadership from the State University of New York. Mrs. Smith is currently the Middle School Curriculum Leader and Grade 6 Team Leader at ISKL. During the interview process, Mrs. Smith impressed us greatly with her passion for middle school and her upbeat, student-centered approach. She will be a valuable addition to our administration and an excellent leader for the AIS middle school community.
