The annual end-of-year awards ceremonies for elementary, middle and high school took place on Thursday, 23 June 2011. Each ceremony brought together students, teachers and families to celebrate the many successes and achievements we had this year. Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll awards for outstanding academic achievement were presented at both the middle school and high school ceremonies. Outstanding student athletes received a variety of certificates and cups including the Jeffery Town Memorial Trophies for the Most Valuable Player in U16 Boys’ Basketball and U20 Boys’ Volleyball. There were also a number of specialist subject awards, as well as recognition in our elementary school for literacy growth, and outstanding citizenship. Traditionally, the elementary and middle school award ceremonies are also dedicated to the Grade 5 and Grade 8 students graduating from their respective school sections. To honor the occasion these students wore a symbolic graduation sash before walking on stage to receive a special graduation certificate from our Head of School, Mr. Fox.
