Lala Tse

Lala Tse (Grade 12) is an overall student leader at AIS. As a Senior Project Manager she brought awareness of teen issues and problems to the whole school. She also assisted in several events such as a guest student speaker at the Grade 11 College Night and Talent Show Emcee as well as being an inspiring student-teacher during adventure week in South Africa. Her leadership was further displayed as Captain of the U20 Volleyball Team and member of the Badminton and Volleyball teams. As an athletic leader, Lala was a strong participant of the Athletic Council assisting in the organization and success of many inter-house activities. For her reliable, trustworthy and friendly character and excellent academic achievements, Lala was chosen to be the valedictorian of this year’s graduating class 2010.

John Li

John Li (Grade 11) is well known for his talent in a wide range of activities. As an important leader on campus, John was the Manager of the IT club, President of the Community Service Club, and Yearbook Photo Leader making a large contribution to our 2009-2010 yearbook. With strong linguistic skills, John has earned several awards of recognition including: Best Delegate Award at this year's Model United Nations conference in Hong Kong and principal member of the AIS Debate Team and a winner of the All School Debate Contest. As a skilled actor, John was an important member of the Thespian Festival and a main lead in this year’s high school play: The Whole Shebang. While, fostering these skills, John has enjoyed sports as a skilled athlete on the U20 Volleyball and Badminton Teams. We congratulate him on a most successful year.

Mana Ono 
Mana Ono (Grade 10) is known for her caring and dedicated efforts to school life. She was a key contributor to the Chiang Mai project rebuilding a village in Thailand during adventure week, and followed this involvement with Action Asia showing great initiative. Action Asia is a network of individuals and organizations in the Asia continent committed to action for conflict transformation through the sharing of skills, knowledge, experiences and resources. Mana is a key member of this global network who carries a vision of a world of justice and peace, where basic needs are met and dignity and human rights are respected. Mana has also been a member of the Cultural Awareness Club, Art and Design club, Dance Club and High School Production. Mana is highly recognized for being involved in so many different activities and for her overall success.

Girish Budhrani

Girish Budhrani (Grade 9) is a member of Global Issues Network (GIN) and Model United Nations where his impressive skills as a debate spokesman were fully on display even amongst university students. A keen sportsman, Girish has been involved in the U16 Track and Field Teams and Boys Swim Team where he earned Most Improved Player. He has also been a member of the Athletic Council, Guitar Club and High School Production. Girish is an exemplary well-wounded student of our ESLRs.
