Alex Cooper

Alex Cooper (Grade 12) is the founder of the Guitar Club and has performed in many musical and drama productions with great flair and class. He was a lead in this year's play the Whole Shebang, in which his masterful display and great comic ability were the most memorable for the audience. Alex has contributed skillfully both vocally and with his guitar in many school events and through the Jazz Combo. Alex is further recognized for his outstanding contributions towards the school's Cultural Awareness Club, Debate Team, Yearbook Club and Eagle Newspaper, as well as being a key organizer of many inter-house school events. For his personal and engaging character and excellent communication skills, Alex is a fine example of the best and brightest in his approach towards others in his class.

Don Choi

Don Choi (Grade 11) is a humanitarian and a caring friend with exceptional skills in communication. He is a fierce debate spokesman as a member of the school’s debate team, winner of this year’s All School Debate Contest and Semi Finalist in the Hong Kong Federation for Youth Groups Speech Contest. Don’s abilities in the classroom through writing and presentation are also impressive. His teachers note his ability to write formally with style and insight online as well as with print media. For a strong showing, Don won Best Delegate at the Model United Nations in Hong Kong this year, an award that is only handed out to a small number of delegates. Among his many talents, Don is known as a caring friend with a warm personality. His generosity to the school and kindness to students when needed most is greatly appreciated.

Jasmine Yu

Jasmine Yu (Grade 10) is recognized for her outstanding communication skills. She is a star performer in drama and was a lead in this year’s play: The Whole Shebang. She has been a key organizer in the community service club inviting others to get involved and earning 38 community service hours. Jasmine has also enjoyed and honed her skills as a member of the AIS debate team and as a school ambassador at Global Issues Network. She further advocates for students and peers with the high school administration through student council and is a most respectful, considerate and highly regarded student. Jasmine will further develop her communication skills this summer through 300 plus hours of community service as a teacher at Summer Bridge Hong Kong.

Sheng-Leung Cheung Casado

Sheng-Leung Cheung Casado (Grade 9) has contributed to his class as a Model United Nations participant, drama student, excellent classroom presenter, and perhaps most notably as a fierce and powerful public debate speaker. Sheng is an exemplary Effective Communicator at AIS and is skilled at developing friendships and the respect of teachers and students across campus.
