After open auditions and five months of rehearsals, the detective-comedy, Marreau and the Chocolate Policeman, opened to a sold out crowd on Friday, March 18, 2011. Ms. Schopf made her directing debut with this performance, but it is the students who worked both on and off-stage who really earned the resounding applause at the end of the performance.

The cast and crew were delighted by the positive review they received from the Hong Kong Schools Drama Festival judges. They used the criticisms to improve and the accolades to energize them in the week leading up to their public performance. With full support from the staff and administration, the entire evening, which also included a wonderful performance by the AIS Jazz Band and refreshments from the Prom Committee, was a success enjoyed by over 200 students and parents.
