The AIS Alumni Association is a non dues-paying association that includes CIS/AIS graduates and any alumnus who has completed at least one semester of study at AIS. Membership is also extended to former faculty, staff and parents of students who attended AIS.
The Alumni Association works closely with the AIS Development Office organizing various events and programs throughout the school year.
Since the new AIS website was launched in September 2009, the Development Office has been actively seeking out AIS and California International School (CIS) alumni. We have been researching our school’s database from the previous 23 years and reaching out to former CIS/AIS students through formal and informal networks including Facebook.
With more than 900 graduates and 2000 former students, the AIS alumnus is significant in size and potential. Over the past several months we have successfully built a solid base of 400 former students from 80 cities in 23 countries who have all indicated their willingness to reconnect with AIS and ensure the alumni remain a vibrant and active part of the AIS community.

Clearly, many alumni have fond memories of the time they spent at our school. They also appreciate the skills, the knowledge and the friendships they developed as students here. Over the years, in both local and international settings, our graduates have consistently gone on to achieve great success. While some have pursued academic and artistic distinction at prestigious and renowned universities, others have achieved recognition and reward in the world of business and entrepreneurship. One thing they have all share is their appreciation for the educational experience they had at AIS.

As we head towards our 25th year, AIS is committed to strengthening its alumni relations. To this end, the AIS Alumni Association will provide a forum to keep the school's alumni in touch with each other, unite classmates and to share the successes of our alumni with the school community. This may be achieved through on-line newsletters, visits to the school and regular reunions both in Hong Kong and overseas.
The association will also provide alumni with information on what is happening in the school - its achievements and developments - thereby promoting the good name of AIS at home and abroad.
Through the Association, alumni will have a strategic role to play in the long-term advancement and promotion of learning and education at AIS. This may be achieved though different fund raising activities designed to raise money for specific projects (i.e. capital campaigns), scholarships for outstanding students or unique departmental projects.
The Association will also support opportunities for cultural, sporting, musical, and art exchanges, both in Hong Kong and internationally.
