Our production involves every student and every teacher in middle school. From the writing, to song selections, choreography, staging, lighting and sound, every aspect of this full-scale production is delegated to students and teachers. It is an exercise in 'extreme' collaboration.
Under the guidance of "Mr Hades" (2012)
Production is a uniquely rewarding experience for everyone involved. During the weeks leading up to the final performances, there is a clear sense of excited anticipation as backdrops are painted, dance steps are practiced, costumes are created, tickets are printed and the program published.
The middle school production provides a wonderful opportunity each year for our students to work together with their classmates and teachers. It is demanding, but through the production process our students gain a true sense of teamwork.
Every year as the curtain falls after the final performance the roar and applause from the audience makes all the hard work worth it.
