	Pamela Smith Middle School Principal Welcome to the American International School’s Middle School where we strive to provide an educational program that meets the unique needs of middle school students. I am fortunate to work with a talented group of teachers who create a supportive and caring environment. They are equally knowledgeable in their subject matter as they are to the unique needs of middle school students; be it cognitively, emotionally, and physically. We are committed to providing an educational program that holistically supports students in achieving academic success and positive personal growth. We have high expectations academically, and also for our students to be involved in the school community in order to take advantage of the many programs we offer. We strive to have our students be well-rounded individuals who are effective communicators, empowered thinkers, and global citizens. The middle school program has numerous events that contribute to this. Our Personal and Social Development Program (PSD) gives students the opportunity to participate in a variety of club-type activities promoting positive school culture. Our Adventure Week is part of our outdoor education program that focuses on building friendships, team spirit and developing leadership skills. Our Spring Production is a true collaborative event written by the students to include all AIS middle school students. I look forward to meeting and working with all AIS community members throughout the upcoming school year.
