Welcome to the Elementary School division of the American International School. We encourage you to peruse all facets of this website as you seek to deepen your understanding of our school and of our Elementary learning environment in particular.
I am honored to serve as principal of our Elementary division, a unique setting in which students from Early Childhood to Grade Five build fundamental skills, grow their curiosity, begin to understand themselves as learners, and develop a sense of who they are as 21st century citizens.
Supported by a dedicated and skilled faculty, our students are known as individuals and learners within their classes and house groups. They feel a sense of connectedness and recognize that our learning community is a safe one in which to take risks, think critically, and consider their role in an increasingly global society. Seeking to develop well-rounded individuals, AIS Elementary School offers opportunities beyond academic learning, to develop the personal, social and developmental skills through our PSD classes and extra-curricular activities. Our strong commitment to a school-wide social skills program enables faculty members to model for students positive ways to solve problems, develop friendships, and communicate effectively with others.
